The Swedish gate

The Swedish gate (Tornja Street 11) is an exclusive gate of Riga wall, which have remained up to now. The Swedish gate is constructed in 1698 with a mission to connect a city to the houses constructed behind the City Wall and barracks. Also the Swedish gate, as well as other gates, were closed on a decline and opened on rising.
