20.gs. sākumā A. Dīnsbergs nelielā pagrabā nodibināja savu ražošanas uzņēmumu, kas nodarbojās ar gumijas apavu ražošanu. Uzņēmums laika gaitā paplašinājās un A. Dīnsbergs 20.gs. 20-gados izbūvēja plašas fabrikas telpas bijušajā dzelzs atsperu un adatu fabrikas teritorijā. Uzņēmuma nosaukums jau bija Pirmā Latvijas gumijas fabrika a/s „Varonis”. Pēc 2. Pasaules kara uzņēmumu nacionalizēja, bet tas turpināja darboties ar nosaukumu gumijas tehnoloģiju izstrādājumu rūpnīca „Varonis”. No 1974. gada uzņēmums bija r/a „Sarkanais kvadrāts” filiāle, bet kopš 1998. gada r/a „Sarkanais kvadrāts” rūpnīca „Varonis”. Tagad uzņēmuma teritorijā atrodas „Barons kvartāls”.
